Grupo Berumen adds new electric buses in Cajeme | 2027
Grupo Berumen begins the rollout of new electric bus units in Ciudad Obregón, with a target of 30 vehicles to modernize Cajeme's urban transit system.

Grupo Berumen successfully completed the electric bus pilot program in Ciudad Obregón (up to 320 km of range per charge) and now formally begins the rollout of 2 additional units in 2027, as the first step toward its goal of integrating 30 electric buses into Cajeme's urban transit system.
A milestone for sustainable mobility
During the pilot period, the units demonstrated not only their operational efficiency and a remarkable range of up to 320 kilometers per charge, but also an immediate improvement in the user experience. The transition to electric transit represents a radical shift: from eliminating polluting emissions to reducing noise pollution, delivering a quieter, more comfortable, and more dignified ride for every resident of Cajeme.
The next step: growing with the city
The success of this pilot is only the beginning. Thanks to the confidence placed in this project, we have formally initiated the incorporation of the first 2 additional electric bus units in 2027, marking the first concrete step of our projected goal of integrating 30 electric buses into Cajeme's urban transit system.
Every new unit added to the fleet is a step toward a more connected, cleaner, and more efficient city. We know that the challenges facing public transit are significant, but our conviction is greater.
A vision with purpose
For Grupo Berumen, this project is much more than technology; it is an unwavering commitment to the well-being of Sonoran families. On this matter, J. Antonio Berumen Preciado, CEO of Grupo Berumen, said:
"At Grupo Berumen, our commitment goes beyond logistics and technology. We are ready and more motivated than ever to keep modernizing our city. Every electric bus we put into service reflects our determination to generate tangible benefits for the community, building together a more sustainable environment and a better quality of life for all residents of Ciudad Obregón."

With this milestone, Grupo Berumen reaffirms its position as a strategic ally in the development of modern urban infrastructure in Sonora.
